Everything you need to know

2 bottles 4 accessories included Bringing a nice bottle to a friend's place is a gesture in itself; presenting it in a case turns it into an event. The SOMMELIER 2-bottle wine case takes the form of a handle-equipped briefcase with a wooden structure covered in faux leather. Inside, a compartmentalized layout accommodates two bottles, secured by straps, and dedicated slots for four provided sommelier accessories: a waiter's corkscrew, a foil cutter, a pourer, and a drip ring. A metal toggle clasp locks the set securely. Measuring 35 × 20 × 12 cm and weighing approximately 1 kg empty, it is easy to carry from a cellar to a party table. Five finishes are available, from black crocodile effect to chocolate and sand checkerboard, including bronze arabesque embossing. Bottles are not included: it is up to you to choose the vintages that will tell your story.

Faux leather on a wooden structure: rigidity and protection

SOMMELIER combines two materials with distinct roles. The wooden structure forms a rigid shell that does not deform under the weight of the bottles and protects the glass from lateral shocks during transport. It is covered in faux leather, a synthetic leather-effect coating that provides the look of quality leather goods, good stain resistance, and simple maintenance: a slightly damp cloth is enough to restore its shine.

This coating also allows for the finishes that give the case its character: embossed crocodile grain, smooth surface, floral embossing, or checkerboard pattern. Inside, the compartments physically separate the two bottles so they do not bump into each other, while the straps keep them in place when the case is carried vertically by its handle. Finally, the metal toggle clasp ensures the lid remains closed during transit.

The art of arriving with wine

There are two ways to bring wine to a dinner. The first is to hand over a bottle by the neck, a bit awkwardly, hoping it will be at the right temperature. The second is more like a ceremony: you place an elegant case on the table, flip the clasp, and reveal two aligned bottles, surrounded by their sommelier tools.

SOMMELIER was designed for this second way. You choose the wines, perhaps a white for an aperitif and a red for the main course, or two vintages from the same estate to compare. The foil cutter cleanly removes the capsule, the waiter's corkscrew extracts the cork without breaking it, the pourer guides a clean pour, and the drip ring protects the tablecloth. Every gesture becomes more confident, more beautiful.

And when the evening is over, the case doesn't end up in the trash like a cardboard box. It remains, accompanies the next invitation, or finds its place in the cellar, ready for the next shared moment, to be enjoyed with moderation.

Preparing and serving with the case

1
Install the bottles: open the toggle clasp, slide the two bottles into their compartments, and fasten the securing straps around each one.
2
Check the accessories: ensure the waiter's corkscrew, foil cutter, pourer, and drip ring are properly secured in their slots, then close the lid.
3
Open the bottle: on-site, remove the capsule with the foil cutter, then uncork with the waiter's corkscrew, using its lever against the bottle neck.
4
Serve neatly: place the drip ring around the neck or insert the pourer, then serve with a fluid motion, without any drips on the tablecloth.

Finish comparison

Finish Exterior Vibe Ideal for
Black croc Black, crocodile grain effect Formal, contemporary Business gifts, grand crus
Black & orange Smooth black, orange interior Modern, contrasting Surprise effect upon opening
Bronze arabesques Floral embossing, grape medallion Classic, ornamental Wine tradition enthusiasts
Chocolate checkerboard Brown checkerboard, medallion Warm, elegant Red wines, winter meals
Sand checkerboard Beige and brown checkerboard Bright, summery Rosés, whites, picnics

Good to know: the case is delivered with its four accessories but without bottles. The interior dimensions of the compartments are not provided by the manufacturer: the 35 cm long case is intended for standard wine bottle sizes; non-standard formats (magnums, very tall or very wide bottles) are not suitable. In case of doubt regarding a specific bottle, compare its height to the exterior length of the case.

Sommelier tip: for travel, carry the case flat in the trunk rather than upright, and let the wines rest for a few minutes upon arrival before opening them. For a white wine or rosé, chill the bottles before placing them in the case and serve them promptly upon arrival.

Frequently asked questions

Are the bottles provided?

No, the SOMMELIER case is delivered without bottles. It includes the faux-leather-covered wooden briefcase, its interior layout with securing straps, and the four sommelier accessories: waiter's corkscrew, foil cutter, pourer, and drip ring. This is precisely what makes it such a personal gift: you choose the two wines yourself, based on the recipient's tastes, the occasion, or the planned menu. Two bottles from the same estate to compare vintages, a white and a red to accompany the entire meal, or a champagne and a dessert wine: the combinations are endless, and the case highlights each one.

What bottles can be stored in it?

The case is designed for two bottles of standard wine. Its exterior dimensions are 35 × 20 × 12 cm; the precise interior dimensions of the compartments are not disclosed by the manufacturer. Non-standard formats, such as magnums or particularly tall or wide bottles, are not suitable. For an unusual bottle shape, we recommend comparing its height and diameter to the case dimensions before offering it. The interior straps keep the bottles in place, and the separate compartments prevent them from touching during transport, which limits the risk of impact.

What are the four accessories for?

Each has a specific role in serving wine. The foil cutter cleanly cuts the capsule under the bottle's collar, preventing the wine from touching the metal. The waiter's corkscrew extracts the cork with a lever effect using the bottle neck for support. The pourer is inserted into the neck for a regular and precise pour, without splashing. Finally, the drip ring, slipped around the neck, catches the drop that often runs down the bottle after pouring, thus protecting tablecloths and tables. Together, they cover all steps, from opening to the last glass.

Is the case made of leather?

No. The SOMMELIER case consists of a wooden structure covered in faux leather, meaning a synthetic, leather-effect coating. This choice has several advantages for an object intended to transport wine: faux leather is stain and splash resistant, does not fear a spilled drop of wine, and is easily maintained with a slightly damp cloth. It also allows for varied finishes, such as crocodile grain effect, floral embossing, or checkerboard patterns. The wooden structure, meanwhile, provides the rigidity necessary to protect the bottles.

Which finish should I choose?

It all depends on the recipient's style and the occasion. The Black croc is the most formal finish, perfect for a business gift or fine wines. The Black & orange plays on surprise with its vibrant orange interior revealed upon opening. The Bronze arabesques, with their floral embossing and grape cluster medallion, are suitable for wine tradition enthusiasts. The Chocolate checkerboard offers a warm atmosphere, ideal for winter reds, while the Sand checkerboard, being lighter, pairs well with rosés, whites, and summer picnics.

How to maintain the case?

Maintenance is simple. Regularly dust the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. In case of a stain or wine drop, act quickly with a slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately; avoid solvent-based or abrasive products that could dull the coating. For the interior, remove the accessories and wipe with a dry cloth. Rinse and dry the pourer and drip ring after each use before putting them back. Store the case away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and avoid storing it in a very damp place to preserve the wooden structure.

Is this a good corporate gift idea?

Yes, it is actually one of its favorite uses. Filled with two carefully selected bottles—for example, from a region that has significance for your company or your client—SOMMELIER makes for a complete and prestigious gift, very different from the traditional cardboard box. The Black croc finish is best suited for a professional context, while the checkered finishes add a warmer touch. Above all, the case is reusable: the recipient will keep it for their own hosting needs, which extends the memory of the gift long after the tasting. It is also suitable for thank-you gifts for hosts and year-end gifting.
