The Canis Lupus is crafted from genuine full-grain leather with an intentionally aged appearance — a slightly grained texture reminiscent of traditional saddlery leather. Unlike corrected leather or synthetic materials that crack after a few months of outdoor use, full-grain leather absorbs the friction of the leash without splitting.
Over time, through walks in the rain and sun alike, the material develops a patina and darkens slightly at the grip points — an aging process that enhances the leash's character rather than damaging it. This is leather designed for the outdoors, not for a drawer.
