All you need to know

Contactless flavoring 1 cigar The INFUSIO SKULL cigar infuser turns flavoring into a little cabinet of curiosities ritual. A long 36 mm diameter glass tube, closed by a cork stopper, holds a cigar; at its base, a gold ring connects it to a small skull-shaped sculpted glass reservoir. Pour a few drops of whisky, cognac, or rum or a few coffee beans in it, and the aromas rise slowly toward the cigar, without any contact with the liquid. In a few days, the wrapper takes on a subtle note, which can be detected from the first puffs. Standing 26.5 cm tall and delivered with its transparent acrylic angled stand, it sits on a desk, shelf, or bar like a true decorative object. A playful way to explore new pairings between a cigar and a spirit, and an original gift for the curious enthusiast.

How cigar infusion works

Flavoring a cigar does not mean soaking it: a wet cigar burns poorly and loses its balance. The principle of passive infusion is much more delicate. The alcohol or aroma placed at the bottom of the reservoir evaporates gently in the enclosed space of the tube, and it is these scented vapors that the naturally porous tobacco leaf gradually absorbs.

The glass is the ideal material for this: neutral, it does not transmit any unwanted taste, and its transparency allows you to monitor the infusion. The cork stopper limits the exchange with the outside air to concentrate the aromas. The longer the infusion lasts, the more pronounced the note: a few hours are enough for a light touch, several days for a bold fragrance.

The SKULL spirit

A cabinet of curiosities for your cigar

The skull has always had its place in the cabinets of curiosities and still lifes of the Old Masters, alongside a pipe, a glass, and an open book: the symbol of pleasures to be savored while there is time. The INFUSIO SKULL humorously revisits this nod.

Below the glass tube, the transparent skull keeps the secret of your infusion: a dash of peaty whisky, a splash of cognac, or a few coffee beans. Above, the cigar waits patiently, protected by its cork stopper.

Placed on its angled stand, it becomes a conversation piece on a desk or in a smoking room. And when the time comes, all you have to do is unstopper it, take out the cigar, and discover the pairing.

Infuse your cigar in 4 steps

1
Prepare the aroma. Pour a few drops of whisky, cognac, or rum, or place a few coffee beans, in the skull reservoir.
2
Install the cigar. Slide a cigar into the glass tube, then fix the tube to the reservoir using the gold ring.
3
Close and wait. Seal the tube with the cork, place the assembly on its stand, and let it infuse for a few hours to a few days.
4
Enjoy. Take out the cigar, let it rest for a few minutes in the open air, then cut and light it as usual.

Three ways to flavor a cigar

Criterion Passive infusion (SKULL) Direct soaking Pre-flavored cigar
Contact with the liquid None Direct Depending on manufacturing
Combustion Normal, dry cigar Irregular if too damp Normal
Choice of aroma Free, to your taste Free Fixed
Intensity Adjustable depending on duration Difficult to dose Fixed

Good to know: the infuser is designed for one cigar at a time. With its 36 mm diameter tube, it also accommodates large-gauge cigars. Infusion flavors the wrapper; it does not replace storage in a humidor. Once the infusion is complete, smoke the cigar in the following days or store it separately so as not to flavor the others. Tip: start light. A few drops and a one-day infusion are enough for a first discovery; then extend the duration if you want a more pronounced note. Rinse the reservoir with clean water and let the cork dry between two different aromas.

Frequently asked questions

How does the INFUSIO SKULL work?

Pour a few drops of spirit, or place a few coffee beans, in the skull reservoir at the base. The cigar is placed in the tube above, closed by a cork stopper. The aroma evaporates gently in the enclosed space and the tobacco leaf gradually absorbs it. The cigar never touches the liquid: it remains dry and burns normally, with an added fragrant note.

What are the dimensions of the infuser?

The INFUSIO SKULL measures 265 mm in total height, from the cork stopper to the base of the skull reservoir, with a 36 mm diameter tube. This generous diameter allows you to easily slide in a cigar, including a large-gauge module. Placed on its angled stand, it remains compact and finds its place on a desk, shelf, or bar. Before infusing a very long format, simply check that the stopper closes properly above the cigar.

How long should it infuse?

It all depends on the desired intensity. A few hours give a discreet touch, one to three days a very noticeable note, and beyond the fragrance becomes more pronounced. We recommend starting with a short infusion, tasting, then adjusting the duration during subsequent trials. Keep the infuser at room temperature, away from the sun and heat sources.

What aromas can be used?

The most appreciated pairings are whisky (peaty or sweeter), cognac, rum, and whole coffee beans. Some enthusiasts also try a port or an armagnac. Always use a small amount: a few drops are enough. Between two different aromas, rinse the reservoir with clean water and let the whole thing dry, cork included, so as not to mix the fragrances.

Is the stand included?

Yes, the INFUSIO SKULL is delivered with its transparent acrylic angled stand. It holds the infuser in a stable position during the entire infusion and highlights it on a desk, shelf, or bar. Its transparency leaves full room for the glass tube and the skull. It is simply cleaned with a soft, dry cloth, without abrasive products that could scratch it.

Is the cigar provided?

No, the INFUSIO SKULL is delivered without cigar or spirit. You freely choose the cigar to flavor and the aroma that will accompany it. For a first experience, a robusto or corona format cigar and a whisky you already enjoy make an excellent starting point. Since the cigar never touches the liquid, it burns normally: simply let it rest for a few minutes in the open air before lighting it.

How to maintain the infuser?

After each infusion, empty the reservoir and rinse the glass with clean water, without scented products that could leave an odor. Let all the parts air dry before reassembling them, especially the cork stopper. Avoid the dishwasher and thermal shocks. The acrylic stand is cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
