Oiled full-grain leather — the raw nobility of cowhide
Full-grain leather (full grain) is the top layer of the hide, the densest and strongest. Unlike corrected leather, it is neither sanded nor covered with a plastic coating: the surface retains its original natural grain, with its shade variations, veins, and sometimes scars — as many marks as certify the authenticity of the material and make each piece unique.
Oil tanning gives the leather a suppleness and depth that classic tanning methods do not achieve. The material is nourished deep down: it resists abrasion better, absorbs the micro-shocks of everyday life, and develops an accelerated patina — in just a few weeks of use, the leather darkens in areas of frequent contact and gains a vibrant luster that intensifies over the years.

Choosing the right size: measure the width and height of your laptop (closed case) and compare it with the internal dimensions of the sleeve. A slight play of 5 to 10 mm is normal and makes insertion easier. If in doubt between two sizes, choose the larger size — the supple leather adapts without deforming the sleeve.
Care tip: oiled full-grain leather requires little maintenance — its deeply nourished surface naturally resists abrasion. A soft, dry cloth is enough for everyday use. Once a year, apply a thin layer of colorless leather balm to revive suppleness and intensify the patina. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and heat sources. Superficial scratches fade on their own by rubbing lightly with the thumb — that's the advantage of oiled leather.

Raw leather — natural marks: oiled full-grain leather deliberately retains the natural marks of the hide: small scars, grain variations, color nuances, and superficial micro-scratches. These characteristics are the signature of authentic leather and not a defect — they make each piece unique. The sleeve is not waterproof: avoid prolonged exposure to rain and dry immediately in case of splashing.
