It allows you to engrave a few chosen characters into the leather: initials, a first name, the date of an event, or a short phrase. Laser-engraved, the personalization is clean and durable; it then develops a patina with the leather and becomes an integral part of the object. The first engraving is free. For more options, go to the "Engraving Options" box just below the add-to-cart button and select the desired option: "Add my logo" (€14.90 per item) to engrave a company, club, or event logo, or "Add an additional text area" (€5.90 per item) for a second text. The option is automatically added to the cart, one per item ordered. For a logo, we will ask you for the file by email after the order: preferably use a vector file or a high-definition image, simple and with good contrast, for a clean result. The COMPACT is designed for those who travel with one watch and want to carry a tie without creasing it. At 17.5 cm long and 283 g, it is designed for short trips: business trips, weekends, ceremonies, formal dinners. It slips into carry-on luggage, a laptop bag, or a sports bag without taking up space. If you regularly alternate two watches, for example a dress watch and a sports watch, the three-slot version from the same line, measuring 25.5 cm, will be more suitable. Both share the same leather and the same free engraving.

Yes, provided you roll it rather than fold it. Lay it flat, then roll it from the tip, without tightening, all the way to the narrowest end. The resulting roll fits in the dedicated compartment and the silk relaxes during the journey: it comes out smooth, without a crease mark. This is also the method preferred by tailors for transporting ties. Upon arrival, unroll it and leave it hanging for a few minutes before tying the knot. The compartment can also hold a bow tie or a pocket square if you are traveling without a tie.

Yes. The manufacturer states genuine leather ("genuine leather") for the exterior of the case. It is a leather with a crazy horse effect, infused with oils and waxes, which has an aged and nuanced appearance. Like any natural material, each piece may show slight variations in color and grain: this is not a defect, but the signature of authentic leather. With use, it develops a patina of its own. The interior, meanwhile, is lined with velvet, a soft textile material chosen to protect the watch and tie from rubbing.

The flap closes with a magnetic snap button. A mechanical watch placed directly against a magnet may, in some cases, have its movement disrupted; simply make sure that the case does not rest against the clasp, which the cushion normally helps to avoid. If an unusual gain or loss of time appears, a watchmaker can quickly demagnetize the movement. Quartz watches are generally less sensitive to this. Furthermore, people with a pacemaker or defibrillator should avoid keeping the case against their chest, and magnetic cards should not be stored in contact with it.

Crazy horse leather requires little maintenance. Minor marks can often be smoothed away with a simple rub of the palm, the warmth of the hands helping the oils migrate. Once or twice a year, apply a thin layer of colorless nourishing balm with a soft cloth, let it penetrate, then buff lightly. Avoid excess water, household products, and direct heat sources. Between trips, store the case in a dry place, away from the sun, with the flap slightly open so the velvet interior can breathe. Cared for this way, it will last for years while gaining character.
