How to use the humidification pipette?
The pipette allows you to dose water drop by drop, without excess. Fill it exclusively with distilled water, or a 50/50 propylene glycol solution, then deposit a few drops on the humidification element provided for this purpose, never directly on the cigars. Proceed gradually: it is better to start again the next day than to over-humidify, as free water in contact with a wrapper causes spots and mold. Wipe off any excess before closing the case. Do not use tap water, as its limescale and chlorine alter the aromas. Aim for a humidity of 65 to 72%.
How to properly use the double-blade cigar cutter?
The double-blade cigar cutter slices the head of the cigar simultaneously from both sides, for a clean cut that does not tear the wrapper. First locate the cap, the small leaf cover that closes the head of the cigar. Place the cigar in the opening and cut just below the cap, about 2 to 3 mm, with a frank and quick motion. Cutting too short makes the draw difficult; cutting too long risks unraveling the wrapper. After use, wipe the blades with a dry cloth to remove tobacco residue and preserve their sharpness.
How to maintain the leather of the Callisto Lux case?
The leather of the case keeps its beauty with a few simple gestures. Daily, a soft, dry cloth is enough to remove dust and fingerprints. A few times a year, a leather care product, applied in a thin layer to the exterior, nourishes the material and preserves its suppleness; then let the case dry open. Keep the case away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and bad weather, which dry out and mark the leather. Inside, the soft lining is simply dusted: avoid any household products, the smell of which would be absorbed by your cigars.
