Vanguard — when acrylic revolutionizes the cigar case

The Vanguard solves a problem that every cigar enthusiast knows: checking the condition of your cigars while on the go without exposing them to air. The crystal-clear HD acrylic body offers total visibility from the outside while the genuine grained leather provides strength and elegance. A hybrid case that didn't exist — until now.

U-shaped cutouts — non-contact extraction: the U-shaped cutouts in the acrylic frame allow you to slide your fingers under each cigar and extract it gently from the bottom — no direct contact with the wrapper, no lateral pressure. It is this ergonomic detail that distinguishes the Vanguard from a simple rigid case.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is HD acrylic and why is it used in the Vanguard?

High-density (HD) acrylic is an ultra-resistant transparent polymer — more rigid and impact-resistant than standard acrylic, comparable to organic glass. In the Vanguard, it replaces the traditional leather or metal body of the case to offer two simultaneous benefits: perfect crush-proof rigidity that protects your cigars from impacts, and total transparency that allows you to see your cigars without opening the case.
</details>
What are the U-shaped cutouts on the acrylic frame for?

The U-shaped cutouts allow you to extract each cigar with your fingers from the bottom without ever exerting lateral pressure on the wrapper. In a standard case, you are often forced to pinch the cigar to extract it, which can mark or damage the wrapper. With the U-shaped cutouts, you slide your fingers under the cigar and lift it gently — without contact with the wrapper, with no risk of damaging your Cohiba or Montecristo.
</details>
Is the included Damascene cutter really made of stainless steel?

Yes — the double-blade cutter included in the front pocket is made of stainless steel with Damascene-style ornamental engravings. The double guillotine ensures a clean and precise cut. The Damascene engravings are decorative — they are inspired by the characteristic pattern of historical Damascus steel (waves and flames) without being authentic forged Damascus steel.
</details>
Does the Vanguard maintain cigar humidity during transport?

HD acrylic and genuine leather together create a relatively airtight envelope that maintains relative humidity around your cigars during transport. It is not a long-term storage humidor — it is a transit case that protects your cigars during trips lasting a few hours. For a multi-day trip, supplement with a Boveda pack slipped into the case.
</details>
Is the Vanguard a good gift for an enthusiast who has everything?

Yes — it is precisely for this profile that the Vanguard was designed. Its hybrid acrylic & leather design is unique on the cigar case market. The U-shaped cutouts, total transparency, and included Damascene-engraved cutter make it an object that surprises even the most well-equipped connoisseurs. For an enthusiast of Cohiba, Montecristo, or Partagas who already owns a humidor, lighter, and classic cutter, the Vanguard is the original piece that was missing.
</details>
