Laser engraving — why it is different

Unlike gold-leaf initials or attached plaques, laser engraving marks the leather deeply — permanently, with no risk of peeling or fading. It reveals the natural texture of the leather beneath the surface, creating a matte effect that subtly contrasts with the rest of the case. Each character is crisp, precise, and permanent. The first engraving is free. To go further — logo engraving (company, club, event) or an additional engraving area beyond the one included — add the dedicated option: Logo personalization / additional engraving — Traveler Collection.

What to engrave on the Prestige Traveler case?

✦
Initials or first name"J.M.D." or "Jean" — sober, elegant, timeless. The classic engraving that never ages.
◆
Memorable dateWedding, birth, anniversary, retirement — a date that marks an important moment.
➤
Short message"For the great moments" — a thought engraved in the leather forever.

Interior organization of the Prestige Traveler

✦
Cigar spaceOptimal protection during transport, with genuine leather that absorbs shocks
◆
Lighter slotDedicated housing — the lighter is held in place and immediately accessible
➤
Cigar cutter slotSecure storage — the cutter will not scratch the interior leather

Important: The Prestige Traveler case includes neither a lighter nor a cigar cutter. The slots are designed to hold them — add your favorite accessories or pair the case with a lighter from the collection and a cigar cutter to assemble a complete set.

Genuine leather: why it gets better with time

Genuine leather is a living material. Unlike synthetic leathers (PU, faux leather) that crack and degrade with use, genuine leather develops a patina: signs of wear, slight variations in shade, and the subtle sheen of frequently touched areas form a unique character for each case over the months. No Prestige Traveler looks exactly like another after a few months of companionship — this is precisely what makes it an object as personal as it is useful.

This nobility of material complements laser engraving: as the patina develops around the engraved characters, the contrast strengthens over time, making the inscription even more legible and personal. The case does not just last — it tells a story, that of its owner and the moments it has accompanied.

The patina, a sign of living leather. Do not try to "mask" the first signs of wear: they are the beginning of a patina that will make your Prestige Traveler unique. A nourishing balm once or twice a year is enough to maintain suppleness without freezing this natural evolution. The more the case accompanies you, the more character it gains.

Prestige Traveler leather care

Best practices

  • Outer leather — soft, slightly damp cloth for marks. Nourishing leather balm once or twice a year to maintain suppleness and develop the patina.
  • Engraved area — wipe gently with a dry cloth. Avoid applying greasy products directly to the engraving, as this could reduce the contrast.
  • Storage — away from direct light and excessive heat. The natural patina develops with use, a sign of living genuine leather.
  • Humidity — avoid prolonged exposure to water; air dry if the case gets wet, never near a heat source.

Frequently asked questions

What can be engraved on the Prestige Traveler case?
The most popular engravings are initials (2-3 letters), a first name, a memorable date (wedding, birth, retirement), or a short message. Laser engraving is sharp on characters from 5mm in height — avoid long texts that might be illegible. The first engraving is free; for a logo or additional area, add the dedicated personalization option.
Does laser engraving fade over time?
No — laser engraving marks the leather deeply, well below the surface. It does not peel, fade, or tarnish. Over time, the leather's natural patina around the engraving can even enhance the contrast, making it even more visible and personal.
Are the lighter and cigar cutter included?
No — the Prestige Traveler case includes only the leather case. The lighter and cigar cutter slots are designed to hold them, but these accessories must be ordered separately. Browse our range of torch lighters and cigar cutters to assemble the set according to your preferences.
How many cigars can the Prestige Traveler hold?
The interior dimensions allow for transporting several cigars depending on their format — Robustos, Coronas, and similar formats fit comfortably. For Churchills (178mm) and very large formats, check compatibility based on the available interior length. The exact capacity depends on the diameter of the cigars being transported.
How to add a logo or an additional engraving?
The first engraving (initials, name, date, or short message) is free on the Prestige Traveler. To engrave a logo (company, club, event) or add an additional engraving area, add the Traveler Collection personalization option to your cart. A vector file is required for logos.
Why choose genuine leather over synthetic leather?
Genuine leather is a living material that improves with time by developing a unique patina, whereas synthetic leathers (PU, faux) crack and degrade. More resistant to shocks and more durable, it offers superior protection for your cigars and a noble feel. It is a sign of longevity: a case that lasts for years and tells a story.
Is the Prestige Traveler case a good wedding gift?
It is one of the most original wedding gifts for a cigar smoker: the wedding date engraved in the leather, the couple's initials, or a personal message make it a lasting and unique souvenir. The Traveler collection is available in our customizable products section, ideal for memorable gifts.
