🎨 Why MONDRIAN — Art Deco as a signature
The Art Deco movement of the 1920s arose from a conviction: everyday objects deserve as much aesthetic care as works of art. The MONDRIAN humidor is a direct expression of this — its geometric lines, contrasting colors, and hand-built patterns transform a humidor into a collector's item. Placed in a living room or on a desk, it is displayed even before it is opened. The name pays homage to Piet Mondrian, a figure of geometric abstraction and a precursor of modern minimalism.
Spanish Cedar: three irreplaceable properties
The hygroscopic fibers of Spanish cedar absorb excess moisture when humidity rises and release it when the air is too dry — natural passive regulation in addition to the humidifier. This dual action reduces sudden variations that weaken wrappers.
Its aromatic terpenes gradually migrate into the tobacco leaves, enriching the cigar's flavor profile as it ages — which is why a cigar kept for several weeks in a good cedar humidor will reveal itself differently than straight out of the box. Finally, the characteristic smell of cedar naturally repels the tobacco beetle, a destructive insect capable of destroying a collection in a few weeks.
Magnetic attachment for hygrometer & humidifier: both accessories attach and detach without screws or tools — with a simple gesture. To refill the humidifier with distilled water or calibrate the hygrometer, 10 seconds are enough. The attachment is strong enough to withstand normal handling, yet flexible enough not to force anything.
Entirely handmade: each MONDRIAN is assembled, painted, and decorated manually. New cedar first absorbs ambient humidity before regulating: without this step, it would draw moisture from your cigars. Distilled water only.
