Why is Mode 4 recommended by default? Mode 4 of the Élégance Carbon applies a cycle that is very gentle on the mechanism: only 2 minutes of rotation followed by 18 minutes of pause, alternating between clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. The long pauses allow the mechanism to stabilize between active phases, which prevents over-winding and preserves the longevity of the caliber. It is the most universal mode: it is suitable for modern Rolexes (650 TPD), contemporary Omegas, TAG Heuers, Breitlings, IWC. For very sensitive complications, choose Mode 5 with its prolonged pause.
Optimal use: the Élégance Carbon can operate continuously 24/7 without risk to your watches. The 18-minute pause cycles integrated into Mode 4 (recommended by default) prevent any over-winding and preserve the mechanism. The black lacquer and carbon fiber do not require any special maintenance — a simple soft cloth is enough to revive the shine. The transparent glass lid keeps your watches dust-free while leaving them permanently visible.
For automatic watches only. The Élégance Carbon is exclusively designed for automatic rotor calibers. It is not suitable for quartz (battery-operated) watches, solar watches, manual-winding watches (which are wound via the crown only), or smartwatches. Placing these types of watches in a winder is useless and can, in some cases, damage the movement.
