Textured reliefHandmade oil3 models · 26 sizes
Some journeys leave behind images, others leave sensations: sand rippled by the wind underfoot, the striated stone of a cliff, the shimmer of water. The Voyageur Textura collection brings together three canvases that translate these impressions into relief. In a palette intentionally limited to white, ecru, and gray, it is the material that tells the whole story. Vagues (Waves) unfurls long, parallel ridges, like dunes viewed up close; Stries (Striations) divides the canvas into vertical bands with different textures, granular or smooth; Ondulations (Undulations) makes a central column of horizontally stretched dark lines vibrate like an echo. Each piece is an oil painting modeled by hand after you place your order. The selection of sizes is particularly vast: twenty-six formats, rectangular or square, ranging from 40 x 60 cm to 130 x 200 cm and up to 150 x 150 cm, with custom options available. Ideal for a minimalist, Japandi, or contemporary interior, they dress up a wall without ever overwhelming it.
Three landscapes of matter
Vagues
Vagues
Parallel, sinuous white ridges, reminiscent of dunes or contour lines.
Stries
Stries
Three white vertical bands, granular texture on the sides, smoother in the center.
Ondulations
Ondulations
Very light gray background, central column of stretched gray and black lines.
All three models are priced the same for a given size, from €69.90 for 40 x 60 cm to €549.90 for 130 x 200 cm. Among the twenty-six formats, ten are square (from 50 x 50 to 150 x 150 cm), a rarity in our canvas collection.
The relief
Sculpting paint
To achieve these surfaces, the artist works with thick paint, then shapes it before it sets: pulling it into furrows, lifting it into ridges, or stippling it to create grain. On Vagues, the relief forms continuous lines that meander across the entire canvas; on Stries, the texture changes from one band to another; on Ondulations, the paint is stretched horizontally with a swift motion from a darker central column.
With such a sober palette, it is the light that reveals the work. Each relief casts a small shadow, and these shadows shift throughout the day: sharp in the morning, the light highlights the furrows; more diffuse at midday, it softens the whole. The painting is therefore never exactly the same, making it a living work of art to be viewed from both afar and up close.

A journey through matter
The collection's name says it all: Voyageur Textura does not represent any specific location, but evokes memories of landscapes through their texture. Vagues recalls a desert swept by the wind or a beach at low tide; Stries, rock strata or a plowed field seen from an airplane; Ondulations, the reflection of a silhouette in shivering water or a sound wave.
In our stagings, these canvases accompany very soft interiors: a white sofa with rounded curves under a globe chandelier, a caramel leather Chesterfield sofa, a gray lounge with a wooden pouf and a black floor lamp, or a bright stairwell punctuated by a white dog sculpture. Everywhere they bring depth without adding color.
Choosing and installing your canvas
1
Select the model: Vagues for movement, Stries for structure, Ondulations for a more contrasting accent.
2
Choose the shape: vertical rectangle for a high wall, square for a console, bed, or a duo composition.
3
Provide side lighting (window, wall lamp, adjustable spotlight) to highlight the relief.
4
Have the canvas stretched onto a frame by a professional framer before hanging.

Made to order: your Voyageur Textura is hand-modeled after purchase. As the relief is shaped directly into the paint, the exact design of the ridges, striations, or lines differs slightly from the photos. Thick paint also requires a drying period before shipping.
Duo composition: two identical square canvases, for example two Vagues in 70 x 70 cm hung side by side with 8 cm spacing, form a very harmonious set above a headboard or sideboard.

Precautions: the canvas is delivered without a frame or stretcher; the black frames in the photos are decorative. Reliefs are the most fragile part of the work: never place objects on the painted surface, avoid folding the canvas at the ridges, and do not allow anyone to handle it with their fingers.
A gentle gift
For a friend who is a great traveler, a couple moving into a refined interior, or a loved one who loves minimalism, Voyageur Textura is a sophisticated gift that is easy to integrate. Its neutral shades limit the risk of bad taste, and the square formats allow you to offer a reasonably sized canvas.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Vagues, Stries, and Ondulations?
Vagues is entirely white and covered in relief ridges that meander in parallel lines, like dunes or contour lines on a map. Stries divides the canvas into three vertical bands: the two side bands feature a granular, striated texture, while the central band remains smoother. Ondulations is the most contrasting: on a very light gray background, a central column of dark gray and black lines stretches horizontally, creating an impression of vibration. All three share a neutral palette and significant texture work.
Is the relief really visible?
Yes, that is the very essence of the collection. The ridges of Vagues and the grain of Stries are modeled directly into thick paint and form real reliefs that can be perceived like reading a sculpture. Their effect, however, depends on the lighting: under grazing light, coming from a side window or wall lamp, the shadows deepen and the texture becomes spectacular. Under front, uniform light, the work appears softer and calmer. Ondulations plays more on color contrast.
Why offer square formats?
The square format is ideal for spaces where a vertical rectangle would be too tall: above a console, a low dresser, a headboard, or in an alcove. It also allows for creating very balanced duos or alignments of three canvases. With ten square sizes, from 50 x 50 to 150 x 150 cm, Voyageur Textura offers a rare choice. The Vagues model, with its ridges running in every direction, is particularly suited to the square format; Stries and Ondulations, more vertical by nature, flourish more in rectangular formats.
In what style of interior should I hang it?
Its neutral tones and material make it ideal for minimalist, Japandi, Wabi-Sabi, or Scandinavian interiors, where light wood, linen, and ceramic dominate. It also integrates very well into more classic decor, above a leather sofa as in one of our photos, where it brings a contemporary touch without being jarring. In a colorful interior, it offers a welcome breath of fresh air. For a more graphic atmosphere, choose Ondulations, whose dark column engages with black furniture and metal.
Do all photos correspond to a model?
Most visuals are associated with one of the three models, which you can identify using the thumbnail displayed when selecting Vagues, Stries, or Ondulations. The first photo of the gallery, which shows a horizontal white canvas with bands above a rounded sofa, illustrates the spirit of the collection but does not correspond to a selectable model. If you are interested in this composition, contact us before ordering: we will work with you to create a custom-sized piece in landscape format.
Is the canvas delivered framed?
No, Voyageur Textura is shipped without a frame or stretcher; the thin black frames visible in our photos are for presentation only. To hang it, have the canvas stretched onto a wooden frame by a framer, noting the presence of reliefs so they handle the surface with care. The thin black frame, as in our visuals, beautifully highlights the white; a floating frame in light oak offers a warmer version. Textured canvases also work very well without a border.
How to maintain a textured canvas?
Ridges and furrows collect dust more than a smooth surface. Dust the canvas delicately with a soft brush with long bristles or an air duster, following the direction of the relief, without ever pressing. Avoid water, damp cloths, and all cleaning products, which could stain the white. Install it away from prolonged direct sunlight, cooking or fireplace fumes, and radiators, which could cause the whites to yellow over time. Preserved in this way, it will retain its freshness for many years.
