10-packCottonTrimmable
Is your essential oil diffuser not diffusing as well as it did on day one? Is the mist weaker, irregular, or the scent less crisp? This is often a sign that the cotton wick is worn out. This pack of 10 cotton filters allows you to replace it easily and regain consistent diffusion. Each filter comes as a white stick, 0.8 cm in diameter and 9.7 cm long. It conducts water from the reservoir to the diffusion head, where it is transformed into a fine scented mist. The filters are compatible with the diffusers sold in our shop, such as the Candle, Yako, Cactus, Bunny, or Cats models, and can be trimmed to fit the height of your reservoir. Ten filters will keep your diffuser running for months, as you can change the wick as soon as it yellows or hardens. A small essential consumable to keep your home smelling fresh and your device working like new.
The role of the filter
Cotton, a wick that draws up water
In a small ultrasonic diffuser, the filter acts as a wick. Submerged in the reservoir, it absorbs the scented water and draws it up via capillary action to the diffusion disc, which transforms it into mist.
Cotton is ideal for this role: its highly absorbent fibers soak up water quickly and conduct it steadily. Over time, however, limescale from the water and oil residues eventually clog the fibers, which then yellow and harden. The wick then transports water less effectively: it is time to change it.

A small step for a big difference
We often forget it, but the wick is the quiet heart of a diffuser. When it is new, the mist rises continuously, light and scented; when it gets clogged, the diffusion weakens and the scent loses its clarity.
Changing the filter regularly means extending the life of your device and fully enjoying your essential oils. With this pack of ten, you will always have a spare wick in the drawer.
The sticks are delivered white and clean, ready for use.
Replacing your diffuser filter
1
Unplug the diffuser and empty the water from the reservoir.
2
Remove the old filter from its housing, usually under the lid or the diffusion head.
3
Insert the new filter; if it is too long, trim it to the right height with scissors.
4
Fill the reservoir with water, add your drops of essential oil, and let the cotton soak before switching it on.
Compatibility: these filters are suitable for all diffusers sold in our shop, including the Candle, Yako, Cactus, Bunny, and Cats models. For another device, verify that its original wick is approximately 8 mm in diameter.
Tip: before turning on the diffuser, let the new filter soak for a few minutes in the filled reservoir. The cotton will become fully saturated, and the mist will start immediately and consistently.

Good to know: a yellowed, hard, or moldy wick must be replaced without delay. Cut the filter with clean scissors and never use it dry: always run the diffuser with water in the reservoir.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the purpose of a diffuser's cotton filter?
The filter acts as a wick. Submerged in the reservoir, it absorbs the scented water and draws it up via capillary action to the diffusion disc, which transforms it into fine mist. Without it, the water would not reach the diffuser head, and the device would not produce mist. A filter in good condition thus ensures regular diffusion and clear scent. It is a small part, but it dictates the entire functioning of your device and the quality of your room's olfactory environment.
When should the filter be changed?
Change the filter as soon as the mist weakens, becomes irregular, or the cotton yellows, hardens, or releases an unpleasant odor. Frequency depends on usage and water hardness: the more limescale in the water and the more often the diffuser runs, the faster the wick clogs. A regular visual check is enough. With a pack of ten filters, you can replace the wick at the first signs of wear, without waiting, and keep your diffuser in optimal condition throughout the year.
Are these filters compatible with my diffuser?
These filters are compatible with all diffusers sold in our shop, including the Candle, Yako, Cactus, Bunny, and Cats models. If your diffuser is from elsewhere, remove its original wick and measure it: our filters are 0.8 cm in diameter and 9.7 cm long. If the diameter matches, they should fit, as the length can be adjusted. If in doubt, send us a photo of your device and its filter: our team will tell you if they are suitable before you order.
Can the filters be cut?
Yes, the filters can be trimmed to adapt to the height of your reservoir. Compare the new filter to the old one, then cut it to the same length with a pair of clean scissors, using a clean motion to avoid fraying the cotton. The filter must touch the bottom of the reservoir while fitting correctly into its housing under the diffusion head. If it is too short, it risks no longer soaking in water when the level drops; therefore, it is better to cut it bit by bit.
How do I install a new filter?
Start by unplugging the diffuser and emptying the reservoir. Remove the old filter from its housing, generally located under the lid or under the diffusion head. Insert the new filter in its place, trimming it if necessary. Then fill the reservoir with water, add a few drops of essential oil, and let the cotton soak for a few minutes. Reassemble the diffuser and turn it on: the mist should rise consistently. The operation only takes a few minutes and requires no tools.
How many filters does the pack contain?
The pack contains 10 cotton filters, all identical, 0.8 cm in diameter and 9.7 cm long. This quantity allows you to replace your diffuser's wick many times, or to equip several diffusers at home, for example in the living room, bedroom, and office. Keep unused filters in their packaging, in a dry place away from dust, so they remain clean and ready for use when it's time to change them. This way, you always have a new wick on hand.
How can I extend the life of the filter?
A few simple gestures help keep the wick effective for longer. Use low-limescale, filtered, or spring water, which clogs the fibers less. Empty and rinse the reservoir regularly rather than continuously topping it up. Never run the diffuser dry. Finally, dose essential oils in moderation: a few drops are enough, and an excess can saturate the cotton. Despite these precautions, the wick remains a consumable: change it as soon as it yellows.
