The ancient technique of glassblowing is used here to create bubbles with organic, imperfect shapes — soft depressions, sculptural irregularities, variations in thickness — that capture light differently depending on the angle. No globe is identical to another: each one carries the signature of the hand that fashioned it. Avoid classic filament bulbs that release too much heat — they can eventually weaken the hand-blown glass.
