Frequently asked questions

How many cigars can it hold?
The Vertex has 3 molded notches (one on each side of the triangle), allowing three cigars to rest simultaneously. The central bowl collects ash and stubs from a full session with several guests or a long solo tasting.
What cigar formats can it accommodate?
The notches accommodate cigars from ring gauge 22 (Petit Corona) to 60 (Gordo) — covering almost all classic Cuban, Dominican, and Nicaraguan formats. From Cohiba Siglo I to Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Rio Seco, including traditional Toros and Robustos.
Is the metal resistant to cigar heat?
Yes — the solid metal easily resists the combustion temperatures of a cigar (up to 800 °C at the glowing end). The material does not warp, tarnish, or lose its original finish, session after session. The color paint is treated to resist wear and hot ash.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes — it can accompany a tasting on a terrace, balcony, or in a garden. Its non-slip base ensures stability even on uneven surfaces. However, it is recommended to bring it inside after use to avoid prolonged exposure to moisture (rain, frost), which could eventually tarnish the finish.
What is the difference between the 5 colors?
There is no difference in size, functionality, or material — same dimensions, same notches, same solid metal. The difference is purely aesthetic in the finish: Onyx Shadow (matte black), Lunar Grey (silver), Imperial Gold (gold), Aurum Olive (green), Velvet Plum (plum). All five editions share the matte textured finish.
What is the difference compared to the Triade Elegance?
Two triangular ashtrays with distinct uses. The Triade Elegance: large format 16.3 × 16.3 cm, glossy vitrified ceramic, 3 classic colors, delivered in a box — for smoking rooms and tasting tables. The Vertex: compact 12.2 × 12.2 cm, textured matte solid metal, 5 distinctive colors — for desks and side tables with an industrial design aesthetic. Choose based on your preferred material and usage.
