Frequently asked questions

Is the Vista Sun ready to use upon receipt?
Yes — it comes with a digital hygrometer and a gel humidifier. Simply add distilled water to the humidifier to use it immediately. For optimal results, perform an initial conditioning: wipe the interior cedar with a damp cloth and let the humidity stabilize between 65% and 72% before placing your cigars inside.
Can I store large-gauge cigars in the Vista Sun?
Yes — the space is suited for Robusto (50 gauge), Torpedo (54 gauge), and Churchill (47 gauge) formats. The internal dimensions of 21 × 15 × 6.5 cm comfortably accommodate these standard formats. For Gordo 60 gauge (23.8 mm) cigars, ensure the removable divider leaves enough lateral space. Effective capacity varies between 20 and 30 cigars depending on the ring gauge.
Is the Vista Sun's glass lid airtight?
Yes — the Vista Sun’s structure is designed to ensure an airtight seal and limit internal humidity fluctuations. Sturdy metal hinges guarantee a smooth and precise seal every time you open it. The digital hygrometer allows you to monitor that the humidity level remains stable in real time between openings.
How do I refill the Vista Sun gel humidifier?
Remove the humidifier and add distilled water only — never use tap water, as it causes calcification in the gel and may leave mineral deposits on the interior cedar. Refill whenever the digital hygrometer drops below 65%. Maintain between 65% and 72% for optimal preservation of your 20 to 30 cigars.
Is the Vista Sun a good gift for a beginner cigar enthusiast?
Yes — it is exactly for this profile that the Vista Sun excels. Ready to use, ergonomic, with an easy-to-read digital hygrometer and simple refillable gel humidifier. Its walnut-effect finish is elegant without being ostentatious. Whether for a first humidor or for a hobbyist upgrading from a box to a dedicated preservation case, the Vista Sun is the ideal choice.
